Executive salaries. For twenty-five years, John Mackey and Walter Robb served as co-CEOs of Whole Foods, a Fortune 100 company. By policy, executive annual pay is capped at nineteen times the amount earned by the average employee. Why? “So that I can look a team member in the eye,” says Robb.
